This is not at all important, only of interest to anyone who wondered where all the names of the duchies came from.

---

Nova: this isn't being used in the sense of latin-for-new. No, this is being used in the sense of BIG HUGE EXPLOSION. Stars blowing up. Disasters. Because, after all, this is a game about dying horribly. Very Happy

So what is Caloris? It's an impact crater on Mercury. Boom!

Mead - largest crater on Venus.

Sudbury - the Sudbury basin in Canada

Maree - from 'mare' features on Earth's Moon.

Hellas - the Hellas Impact Basin on Mars.

Merva - an alternate spelling of Menrva, after whom a crater on Titan (moon of Saturn) is named.

Ursul - from Ursula, a crater on Titania, a moon of Uranus

Mazomba - a crater on Triton, moon of Neptune

Kigal - from Ereshkigal, related to underworld mythos and thus related to Pluto

Elath - an old name which among other things can mean a supreme goddess. Not quite directly related to Jupiter, but Jupiter is a mythos head, so...

Lillah - This, on the other hand, comes from Lilith and has nothing to do with any planets or moons. Lillah not fitting the pattern is actually vaguely relevant to Novan history.

its nice that you choose names that have a true meaning to the story.
Not just random names!

A good author does that, and you are one!

Story writers like you Hanako chooses names for people and places based on their history, personality, and looks. And people like me do get surprise what these names really mean.

This isn't just for Long live the queen but for your other games as well. Well done stories!
