Sequel Wishlist

#1 Post by hanako » Tue Aug 05, 2008 10:34 pm

A place for you to dump any ideas you really wish would be in the sequel, since I'm now working on it.

I will probably ignore them completely. :) But there's always a chance that something will make me go "Ooo!"

Yays! It's exciting to hear that the sequel is being worked on. :D

Let's see...I'd like there to be some reference as to what happened to the main character from the first game (kind of like some background info).

Of course, perhaps different possible endings would be great. Also, reintroduce some of the old characters like the teachers, librarian, etc. I wonder if the slums could work into play?

I can't think of much else at the moment but if something inspiring happens to pop up, I'll be sure to post them.
Please help and support me here.

Don't think it was in the original. Mind's fuzzy due to sleep deprivation.

However! I think some manner of Dating Sim style meter would be interesting as you could have an ending where you marry person X and live happily ever after.

well that works too... how about you add some quest.. like if your job is a cook you need to get certain ingredients in the market... something like that... and how about having a friend or two in game were you can ask advices and clue's when your lost in a quest or to aid you when your in battle.... and it's also ice to have a pet in the game.... :)

Yeah, I think some kinda familiar system would be cool, but maybe that'd be better suited to Super Charm School.

More interactive battle system?
More exotic locations to visit?

Here's MY wish list:

-Lots of guys to marry. With names, and their own personal story. In fact...every character should have as interesting a backstory as possible. And also, by the way, I'd like more friends/rivals to make too...The Librarian, Brittany, Alexandria and the chef-girl was all a little underdeveloped. (Well, maybe not Alexandria, but..)

-More locations!!! As much to explore as you can....Items, ect.

-I want a doll...that actually shows what I'm wearing.

-I really like the special endings. I know every ending can't be like that, but I like them nonetheless.

-Really awesome graphics. Cutscenes would be too expensive, but the special pictures for special parts in the game (not just the ending...but like, say, in Cute Knight, had a screen shown the pic of the Prince and us on a date, that would've been nice.)

-The festivals should have more to do.

I like the doll idea. I always felt a little unnerving that she was always wearing the same outfit on the EQ screen. Though Diablo had a similar thing so it's not a big thing. :D

Still image slideshow type cutscenes would be feasible pending Hanako Could get an art farm to do a bunch of stills.

I liked the Dungeon Crawling Sequences, but as for the actual battle system I think it would be cool to have a side view FF Style battel system when you encounter a monster. The only problem is that the art budget would go through the roof especially if coupled with the previous suggestion. :(

The doll would be pretty simple... It seems strange when you equip her with armor or other stuff and it never changes. The picture just slides to the place that says "Armor". A doll would be better.

And the "special images" I think would cost about as much as it did for Fatal Hearts (the images in the gallery). With limited animation like in Cute Knight or Fatal Hearts, the images would have to be a really big selling point....Because you're basically clicking clicking clicking.

By the way, I love the dungeons, but this time, since we're going to be moving from kingdom to kingdom (that's the idea, right?), each kingdom/town could have its own "rough area". Or the fighting could be in the forest, and you use the forest to journey from one town to the next. If you pay money for caravan, you get there right away, if not, you fight, giving the player the option of fighting or not. I'd still like a map though...And obviously, this idea means the forest has to have a start point (to get to the previous town) and a finish point (to get to the next town.)

Anyway, that's my idea on he battle system.

Traveling from town to town within a kingdom. And yes, you will be walking through the forests, with the option to take a caravan to get there faster and safer.

(Most of these suggestions, I'm not going to comment on one way or the other, but since this part has already been mentioned in some other places, I'll clear that up. :) )

Well, that sounds pretty darn cool Hanako. ^_^

cute knight

#13 Post by Naiomi666 » Fri Aug 08, 2008 11:03 pm

One thing that bugged me slightly about cute knight was that whenever someone was in a position of power(like a banker, doctor, or Queen of thieves) there was less of a chance that she would marry someone. Not to say that in every ending that she should get married but it would be cool if she could have everything in at least one high position ending.

And i do not care how many endings there are but it would be cool if there were many different things that could happen based upon one ending. It always makes me replay the game to see what happens. Like for example if i didn't have enough strength the ending would have a slightly different ending than if i did have a lot of strength. It would be cool to have a lot of different things that could happen to you in one ending.

And i know its improbable but it would be awesome if every young guy was available because in cute knight i really wanted to marry the doctor and it would have been nice if he could have been marriageable if i had got the doctor ending.

and how about many boss enemies... the first cute night has only the dragon boss on the slums how about in every town there is a boss.... like for example in a snowy town there's this snow queen who cursed the town to snow forever... and the only way to break the curse is to defeat her... like in cute night.. to free the princes you need to defeat the dragon.... and more stats would be great... and more class to learn from too...

I would like to see some more character customization, like the character could have a personality that would affect the endings. And perhaps better audio? It wasn't that bad but I think more sound effects etc. would make the game more interesting.
