...that the player choosing the protagonist’s name makes perfect sense in both games. In Horse Hall, our protagonist is a wildseed, and, as we learn from Wolf Hall, wildseed get to choose their wizard name. As for the name for Wolf Hall protag, it’s simply as alias for him to study incognito.
