Date Warp (upcoming visual novel)

#1 Post by hanako » Sat Nov 07, 2009 2:05 am

This is still in development and won't be out for a good while, but I've put up a preview page with some information about the characters and the story.

http://www.hanakogames.com/datewarp.shtml

It is similar to Fatal Hearts in that there are puzzles to solve along the way while you make choices to reach different endings. However, instead of having lots of different kinds of puzzles, there's one basic sort of puzzle with lots of different variations. You'll have to wait and see for more information. :) (No, it's not a hidden object game.)

It looks so cool! I love the graphics, and when you mentioned "Fatal Hearts" I knew I would be interested.
I can't wait! :D

Ahh this looks great. I've been waiting for another great visual novel game to come along. I can't wait for the public release even though I know it'll be a while. ^^
Please help and support me here.

Mmmm pretty boys . And puzzles are fun too :P. BTW I'm glad it's not hidden object, those bore me to death.

Oh that looks interesting and it's by the creator of Science Girls too so I'll definitely keep an eye for it. I do like Hidden Object games but there are just so many and a lot of them are more rush and less substance, I'm looking forward to a good visual novel.

*cough* Just one question about this...

Will it be scary? If there's one thing I didn't like about Fatal Hearts, it was that some parts grossed me out/scared me.

Yes, I'm an utter wimp... I wish one of these days you'd do a total otome game - whether a sims or a visual novel - that is totally bright.

Like the Charm School sequel (as much as I can gather about it anyway... by the way, are you still working on that?)

As this might constitute spoilers:

Not nearly as dark as Fatal Hearts. This isn't a horror story, there won't be any massacres. There can be some violence and tension... I don't think there's anything gross/bloody though. Mostly fistfights.
the Charm School sequel (as much as I can gather about it anyway... by the way, are you still working on that?)
It hasn't gotten off the drawing board. It's planned, and I'm talking to people about design ideas, but nothing's actually coded yet.

It is, however, pretty relentlessly bright. Happy sparkly sugar. :)

I also have plans for Cute Knight Empire but that's obviously going to be a long time coming!

Aw, one of the reasons why I love Fatal Hearts so much is because I am obsessed with horror stories.
So I wouldn't mind if Date Wrap had a horror element as well. :P

Looks great! ^_^ Like the character design and it sounds very mysterious!
The wolf and his mate howl, taking solace in the silver moon. Pressing ever foreward to see what the future holds.
