Question about crafting and artistry...(SPOILERS)

If you're still trying to get all the endings, please don't read this topic as I don't want to spoil anything.




I got the Dress Shop ending and started a new game to focus on Crafting & Artistry. Both skills were about 220, and I was crafting jewelry. I had nearly $1,300 saved, but I didn't craft as many items as I normally do. Despite all that, I still got the Housewife ending. Is this because I didn't have enough money saved, didn't make enough items, or is it because I chose the 5th month (sorry I forgot the name) as my birth sign?
