Adding on 'why no Mary Sue' Because she is such a blank slate and changes based on YOUR decisions, voting for Mary Sue 1) feels a bit egotistical and 2) ...Mary Sue changes on each playthrough. (And sometimes isn't even NAMED Mary Sue!) I mean, is my intellectual, nerdy, 'cute' Mary Sue who grows cl...

I really enjoyed this game, and can recommend... that you read some of the other posts in the forum, or at least the non-spoiler ones. :) Madeline, in my opinion, stays the same person regardless of route (well, mostly...) where she is far more calm, intelligent, and proactive than the stereotypical...

I just wanted to comment that all the music in general was very well done. :)

Finally played Nazagi's route, and decided I still favor Callum. I liked his route best because it combined both the sweet lovey-dovies (admittedly, between two somewhat aggressively competent people) and political intrigue aspects into one nice package, plus I like the tension between the two as th...

I agree that Hanako's suggested route probably would have been best... I ended up playing a little 'out of order', so it occasionally felt frustrating when I (as a player) already know how it REALLY happened, while the characters don't. I ended up playing in this order: Callum (OMG so amazing!) Gast...

I WANT to say Callum, but cannot honestly choose that answer (not yet, at least) because I haven't played Nazagi's route yet. But Callum, brash, moody, and just plain fwoar as he is, is completely my favorite so far.[/i]

That's part of why even so Oscar is so SUPER ADORABLE in his good ending, I felt so very conflicted about pursuing this. I hate feeling (even indirectly) responsible for that tragedy. :(

Just played Gaston's route (or should I say, Collette's? She's such a sweetheart!) and it was full of heartwarming and hilarity. Gaston is a very unusual person, but he is surprisingly charming. And the CG where he and Cassidy make their confessions was both utterly adorable and goofy.

I got Callum's normal ending, and it was still pretty sweet... although I muchly regretted that I apparently completely alienated Oscar. :( Sads! I want to play Gaston's route (so bombastic! So hilariously adorable from what I've seen so far!), and Nazagi doesn't appeal to me personally, but maybe I...

Just curious, how long is one playthrough expected to be? Also, is it possible to die/faily as horribly as in Long Live the Queen? :O It's pretty much entirely choice-based, but interesting.... I just finished the demo, and it seems very promising so far! Also, I was a bit saddened by the lack of a ...

...okay, I got a confession: even if I weren't a Hanako fan and planning on playing the demo (and face it, probably buying the game ANYWAY even though I have yet to even TRY it)...

...your review would have convinced me to at least give it a go.

Much delayed comment: I got the book, and I enjoy it quite a bit. It's sort of a textbook/novel with the math explored and explained by the main characters. It's probably not for everyone though... I enjoyed math in school and was able to follow along with most of the examples, but you have to be ab...

Jumping on with same recommendations as Franka: really, try the demos. It depends on what you want. Loren is my favorite (even with some questionable clothing designs), but if you are looking more for a dating-sim type experience, Flower Shop is very good. I admit I loved the original Spirited Heart...

Ellen! Sweet, introspective, insightful-- and her romance arc was definitely one of the most touching, in my opinion. And after playing hers, a little part of me realized that without Sue, she has NO ONE who is aware of her family situation or who can empathize with her... ...makes it very hard for ...

As far as I recall, it's easiest to avoid killing things by... not fighting things. Since the monsters are displayed as wandering blobs, it is usually (relatively) easy to avoid them, especially if you avoid dungeon-crawling or other events more likely to make you have to fight for your life.
