What distribution, CPU type, and Python version (python --version should tell you) are you running? It was built on 2.5;

Code: Select all

python2.5 rungm6.pyc
may make it work. If not, I'll be putting together a Renpy-encapsulated build that should come with all the dependencies shortly.

Beta test of Cute Knight Kingdom for Linux and Mac

The latest beta tests are up for download from http://spikycaterpillar.dreamhosters.com/beta/ The Linux build should run on both x86 and x86-64 distributions (if you have 32-bit binary compatibility). It requires 24/32 bit color to display correctly - I'm not sure if 16-bit displays are widespread e...

Thanks - unfortunately, I still can't reproduce the bug even with the save. Did the workaround patch work?

Upload your closest savegames to the Mindworms to http://spikycaterpillar.dreamhosters.com/savegame-upload.html and I'll see if I can figure it out. I've got a possible workaround at http://spikycaterpillar.dreamhosters.com/patches/1.2.17/enginepatch.rpyc - to use it, back up your current Science Gi...

Odd - I can't reproduce the bug on my test environments, and that's a mandatory combat, so I'd expect to have gotten other reports of it by now. What version of Windows are you using? Does it happen every time you enter the mindworm combat or only some of the time? Does it happen immediately, or onl...

The Gertigator was in the school entrance - now that you've beaten it, you can go outside. (If you already went outside and are now looking for supplies, they're in the 3rd-floor storeroom.) (Select to view the hint.)

Yes, there are editing functions. (A word of warning: back up your savegames before playing with them. And back up the entire game if you're going to edit maps. Also, the editing functions are intended primarily for debugging. They may do weird things or have strange bugs, and I don't guarantee that...

... I don't think we're *opposed* to console ports, but we don't have a console devkit or relationship with any console publishers. So it's not very likely. Well, if somebody gifts me with a devkit (or the modtoys necessary for homebrew development), I'll happily give it a try. :twisted: Don't know...

Oops - it looks like I wasn't clearing the battle victory label after the Scurrying Slirrup was defeated, so fighting something else in the same room would crash. Was the room you beat the Scurrying Slirrup in room 108? (If not, then I've fixed the wrong bug.) I've updated the fix at http://spikycat...

I've got a candidate bugfix at http://spikycaterpillar.dreamhosters.com/patches/1.1.12/jrschool.rpyc - Try replacing the current jrschool.rpyc and let me know if that makes the bug go away. If it doesn't fix the bug, let me know and upload your relevant savegames through http://spikycaterpillar.drea...

It affects the hit rate for almost all attacks, though not always to the same degree.

Thanks for the help - unfortunately, I haven't been able to track down the original cause of the bug. :( Has anyone else encountered it (or similar bugs where cracked lava tiles fail to finish cooling)? If you have encountered lava tile bugs, I want all your volcano-level savegames, including any wh...

The Windows version will run on Linux under Wine; if you want to run it natively you can download the Linux demo, copy the files from the installed fullbuild into the demo folder, overwriting where appropriate, and then run ./ScienceGirls!-Demo.sh . (Which will actually run the full version since th...

Walk to areas you can reach while it cools. It'll take several steps for the lava to cool enough to cross.
