Once you've updated to 0.2.36 or higher, it should hopefully be possible to run further updates on Vista/7 machines without having to start the game as Administrator - instead, you should get a normal Vista/7 elevation prompt when you try to update.

Seven/Vista updater bug workaround

If you're using Vista or 7 and the updater crashes, you may be able to work around it by right-clicking on the game and selecting 'run as administrator' when you start the game.

When I encountered an error, the rollback didn't work after I sent the bug report. I tried to send a bug report on that too, but it's hard to tell if it sent that through or the other, prior bug. So I figured I'd just post it on here too. ^^ Thanks - if it was a crash trying to view the diary, it's...

IIRC, you occasionally find pearls while fishing. I'm not sure about obsidian off the top of my head, but I'd start by looking in the lava cave.

Try replacing C:\Program Files\Date Warp\renpy\python.py with the python.py from http://spikycaterpillar.dreamhosters.com/datewarp/patches/1.1.1/python.py and seeing if that fixes the problem. I haven't run into this crash before, so it's possible that there's some other underlying problem that need...

I hate to mention it, since I love this game so much, but I got this traceback.txt recently: I'm sorry, but an exception occured while executing your Ren'Py script. Exception: Render count is 9 at shutdown. This probably indicates a memory leak bug in Ren'Py. While running game code: -- Full Traceb...

You don't need to activate any other paths across the swamp, but the correct route is a little confusing - there's a map at http://spikycaterpillar.dreamhosters.co ... ampmap.jpg that may help. (You can bring it up ingame through the debugger menu by pressing F2 and then M)

Unfortunately, I *AM* stupid enough to run a downloaded exe (by accident - stupid Firefox defaults to OPENING things if you opened the last thing you downloaded, and some idiot figured that it was a good idea to set up Gnome to automatically open exe files in Wine. So I got to spend a couple of hour...

Windowed, letterboxed, or scaled down? (If the game doesn't fit exactly to the screen, the engine will add black borders around/alongside the window.) Did you fullscreen it using the fullscreen option on the preferences menu or one of the titlebar buttons? What resolution is your monitor set to? Upl...

It's odd, and I haven't been able to reproduce it yet. In addition to Hanako's questions, what versions of Date Warp and Windows do you have? What color depth is your screen set to? What exactly do you mean by fullscreened? Did it start running in fullscreen mode? Did you switch it into windowed mod...

If you bought the game early and your copy doesn't contain these things, you can email your receipt to support at hanakogames (or PM myself or hanako) and receive an updated download.

Hm. Is it dropping a traceback.txt file anywhere? (Possibly inside DateWarp.app/Contents/Resources/autorun/game/) What version of MacOS are you running, on what processor? Is this the demo or the full build?
