The greater good is what's most important. Accessing the magic duel requires having nearly your entire army and navy be annihilated. .... Hmm.... Lumen tolerance may lead to more Lumens coming to Nova, and Lumens are valuable, and the history lowers the chances of another disaster. I'm starting to t...

One thing I'll add.... since most people hate/fear Lumens, I think the History ending is only really important if you win the magical duel and people let down their guard about Lumens. For the economic ending, befriending Shanjia is probably best in the long-term, as it's a wealthy and powerful ally...

Please go ahead and spoil the history ending for me, what on earth could it spoil to make it worthwhile? (moreso than the forest ending?) Okay, I got it. Basically the founders of Nova were from Bour? (up north) and destroyed the soil there with endless magic fighting, leading to a caution about mag...

Also, how do I ensure the "forest" ending? That's my absolute favorite ending in the game and it's the one I always like to pursue the most, though my sky-high economic skills often leave me with the Good Economy ending.

You can't really get the best endings without using magic but, I would recommend a very high military rating with maybe some music/presence.

I have to say, the game is incredibly fun- dealing with all the nobles, effecting the destiny of the kingdom, building up her stats. The game does kind of leave you with a sense of wanting, wanting to see what happens next and wanting to effect the future of the kingdom, and maybe send out explorers...

Question about stat-base endings.... And which is best?

How many different stat-based endings are there in the game and what generally determines which one you get at the end? Sometimes it seems to differ.... 1. With enough economics, it talks about Elodie wanting to build Nova the world's biggest economy and wanting to dominate economically rather than ...

Are you sure? The TV Tropes page for this game claims the game has a manual somewhere with lots of extra information in it.

Sequel

I'd love to see a sequel to this game, an Empire-building one kind of like Civilization or Europa Universalis. And maybe allow you to "import" your old quest. Or, as it'd be easier to implement, select options.... like say, "Printing Press" means technology increases 50% faster for 50 years for all ...

Okay... (sorry, got the two names mixed up)

But how exactly does the Queen die? If it was a magic accident, but one that Togami helped orchestrate, that does suggest that some Lumen in the kingdom must have been involved to help make the "accident" happen.

Cinders demo bugged?

What's wrong with the Cinders demo? I tried it but, the mouse is screwed up.... I have to be several inches below what I should highlight something to actually highlight it, and on some screens that leaves you completely trapped and unable to do anything except reset the demo. :(

Question about the Queen's death

1. The king blames your aunt. However.... 2. She's an ally the whole game (unless you let her rot in the dungeon) and explains that your mom died in some kind of magic-related accident. But... 3. Togami, the Big Bad, will boast to you (if he kills your father) that he's the one responsible for murde...

Awesome! Thanks for your help!

One more question.... how do you use the cheat for cruelty to get the "feed Charlotte to Kraken" option? No matter how many times I try I seem to mess up getting that option. (I've been bitten before)

Ah, I see. Thanks! Btw.... when your meditation gets really high and then you study some Lumen, I notice you get the option to ask your mentor about it then your character wonders about Charlotte. Is there anything you can do with that? All I've been able to find is a reference to Charlotte ignoring...
