Third exam achievement problem?

In the third exam, I used Entangle to get over the abyss and did not get the Move Along Home achievement. I got it when I redid that exam on my next playthrough and used Long Jump . I was just reading the event guide and noticed that it said this about that exam: Wed, Nov 20 Hopscotch exam. You'll n...

Re: Wolf Hall - Development Testing Thread

I just finished playing through the new content for the various routes. I love it! All of the routes are equally fascinating and I look forward to seeing how everything turns out. I also just wanted to note that on Barbara's route, during the discussion of her detective qualifications , I was sudden...

Re: Skip exams?

Hmm... I feel like this wouldn't fit as well in Magical Diary because the exams aren't necessarily always solvable depending on your spell list. For example, if on Playthrough #1, I diversify my activities and have a few spells of each color by Exam #2, I can beat that exam pretty easily. But on Pla...

Re: What is up with Banion?

I always thought he wanted power not just in the "rule the kingdom" sort of way, but in the "sire a dynasty and leave a strong legacy" way too. But if Elodie cannot produce an heir, his (legitimate at least) family line ends there and he goes down in history as just the forgotten husband of Queen El...

Re: Wolf Hall - Development Testing Thread

The only issue I found is a minor typo on Raven's route: https://i.imgur.com/hFenfiJ.png I thought the pacing for this week was generally great. I especially enjoyed William's route because seriously, the wizard's duel scene just perfect. Both for being cool and badass and in terms of actual charact...

Re: Exam 7 Tips and Tricks

This one is a toughie I've only really found one reliable way to do this, and it's on my black/blue build. But it requires a frankly ridiculous amount of mana Use teleevoke to clear the first purple thing, explore past it, then go back. Teleport the stone pillar into place in front of the path you ...

Re: Wolf Hall - Development Testing Thread

I don't think that Potsdam is using magic to tamper with the memories of all the students: she doesn't even need to do it. Musette's confusion could be a side effect of being, well, dead. We don't know how ghosts work in this setting, but is quite common that they have only some memories and need h...

Re: Wolf Hall - Development Testing Thread

I finally got caught up on the different routes after not playing for a bit (was just busy with other stuff in life) and am so happy with all of the new content! I am really enjoying each of the main routes and how the characters are developing. :D The only error I've noticed that hasn't been commen...

I was able to get around the trap by using Televoke to set it off while staying safe myself.

Re: Theme song Discussion

There's no guarantee that the PC will have a date to the Ball. If you're on no relationship path, or something has gone wrong in your relationship before then, you might be alone. You might be there with someone who's just a friend, or with a side-option character that you're flirting with but don'...

Re: Theme song Discussion

I'd love either a romantic song for the ball or a dramatic song for the end credits. I've really enjoyed how other Hanako games like Confines of the Crown and Date Warp have theme songs that really fit the themes of their games well, so I'm hoping we'll have something like that for Magical Diary!

Re: Wolf Hall - Development Testing Thread

Could there be a way in which Minnie teaches Gary Stu spells when her study sessions help him to reach a required level, at least for the low level spells (say, those associated with 5 and 10)? That way, Gary would not have a situation where Minnie's study sessions help him to reach 5 in a spell co...

Re: Wolf Hall - Development Testing Thread

Have you considered adding the "help someone else" option when studying on the weekend on a recurring basis? It feels skeevy to only offer to help people while campaigning--and we did (potentially) agree to join Study Club! (I also just think it'd also be interesting to have a weekend study option ...
