Re: Question about Joslyn (Spoiler)
The way I interpreted it was: It became so urgent for him to secure Caloris's future that he couldn't put it off any longer. In the aftermath of the earthquake, it's mentioned that Caloris was the hardest-hit region, with monsters escaping the Old Forest and slaughtering whole villages. It's so bad ...

Re: Challenge and restricted runs
While it's been a very long time since I did them and I've forgotten the steps I took, a fun couple of challenges I did were trying to kill as many named characters as I could, and trying to get as many countries enraged with me as possible. For the former, my record is fourteen characters who have ...

Re: Magic Mirror
A bit of Intrigue in general is needed, but Internal Affairs is the priority because it also lets you know something about Julianna. (I think you can just purely grind Internal Affairs and leave everything else alone? If I remember right the requirements are just below the halfway cap.)

Re: Best stats to focus at the start
I've found that unless you can't afford to be Yielding (such as if you need Weapons/Lumen skills immediately or at very high numbers), it's a good safety net to put lessons into Royal Demeanor, especially Composure and/or Presence. It helps Elodie avoid or endure bad situations. That includes the ch...

Re: Interesting and amusing things you've found in playthrou
I ran a couple of tests, and it seems like the engagement to Banion gets dropped without any mention if you agree with Lucille and delay the wedding? I know with Talarist it goes for the family-oriented marriage (unless Elodie is sterile), and with Thaddeus Arisse will fight against the delay and ru...

Re: Interesting and amusing things you've found in playthrou
Another Fun New Epilogue I finally figured out how to get gives some in-game proof that Lucille intended to kill Laurent, too . Oooh, how'd you get that? To get that, I had to kill Lucille at the grand ball, hire Sabine as a spy, and keep Charlotte alive. In the epilogue, Lucille's journals are ret...

Re: Happy Ending for Everyone
I think I got it. I even managed to get that dang hospital. First: OH MY GOSH, thank you for the Accounting advice! Elodie is so much better suited for a run with Intrigue and Military when she's not so deep into Yielding. Usually I rely on Royal Demeanor to carry me, but that was completely the wro...

Re: Happy Ending for Everyone
These were my plans going past the gala: I need to have my agents on the lookout for foreign threats, which requires just a little bit more Intrigue. At this point, I need to quickly start getting the rest of the skills up to speed; with pro-Lumen printing, I don't think I need to get Julianna's hel...

Re: Happy Ending for Everyone
Hm... Apologies for the double post, but I would like to know any opinions on this. I'm doing testing, and right now the first handful of weeks are giving me trouble, even if I DO cut major, hospital-shaped corners. Here's my plan right now, spoiled to be safe since a lot of this is recent stuff: * ...

Re: Happy Ending for Everyone
True -- I can't think of a way to improve Lumen opinion without burning bridges with Shanjia. It's possible to win the naval battle and do one of the new pro-Lumen events to get the same Everyone Loves Lumens ending. In this case, Togami lives and escapes to Shanjia, but financial and political trou...

Re: This is a really silly game to speedrun
Yeah, in hindsight, saving at branching points and reloading would be in line with the idea of fitting half a dozen goals into one file; I'm messing with romance candidates right now to see which people have contradicting paths, and it'd get annoying really fast to have to play through the entire ga...

Re: Interesting and amusing things you've found in playthrou
Ah... I think I may have figured out something? Granted, it's mostly all speculation. During one of the new endgame events, Selene says that Julianna's power lies in the earth. At first I thought there wasn't a whole lot in the game that showed this, aside from the event in question and her response...

Re: This is a really silly game to speedrun
Finally, a game I can speedrun even with my toaster of a laptop. Joking aside, bingo runs seem like the most interesting way of doing any sort of competition, since otherwise it's simply about clicking fast enough. It actually requires some thought to save time on saving and loading and starting new...

Re: Got rejected in epilogue, but wasn't acknowledged? spoil
Good point, I didn't really take the "this is totally a joke" part into account; maybe I conflated some parts of him with Adair. That makes more sense then why it ends up going to the second choices. Thanks for the clarification! (And now I gotta do testing to see exactly how I managed to scare the ...

Got rejected in epilogue, but wasn't acknowledged? spoilers
The Wiki mentions that Anciet can reject a proposal from Elodie, and I decided to test that out. Indeed, it does seem he wants nothing to do with her in the run I just completed -- if I select him, either Elodie marries a foreign duke, or she remains unmarried and has numerous partners. However, the...
