Re: Long Live The Queen is run on Nexus7!

The Nexus 7 has a 7" screen with a 1280x800 resolution (1280x720 used for display in landscape mode).

Re: Mod: Studying from the Skills page

Good concept, but I would prefer the opposite approach...the class selection screen is pretty uncluttered in comparison to that one, so altering that to show current bonuses and skill levels would be a nicer effect and have less tendency for information overload than that screen has. For example, si...

Re: How to translate?

Hello. I'm currently trying to translate this game to russian, and I have some issues with current version of experimental patch: 1. No support for translated pictures (i.e buttons and skills). 2. No support for character profiles and some menu text. 3. It did not register "\n", which is used in so...

Re: How to translate?

Nice thread. :D I've started translate LLTQ to japanese and use the translatation support tools, but because the game doesn't have japanese-fonts, I can't check those texts on the game screen yet. Would you please add the font to game? Thanks. Just put your font file and an override rpy script like...

Re: What about modding?

honestly as long as we can avoid direct "script patching" it should be pretty benign to mod the game...with script injection like SET is using if anything goes wrong all you need to do is trash the modded files...same goes for images, which is why I encourage that approach.

Re: What about modding?

Alphabetical list of most of the images from the game that you can override. If there is a slash that means you need it in that sub-folder for it to override properly. I guess you could mod outfits and such by knowing what files they are...another interesting case is translating the bitmap buttons i...

Re: What about modding?

The base Ren'Py engine executable will always load EVERY script in the game directory, even if the script has no functionality that ties it to another script...in that way it is kind of a "dumb loader" which makes certain types of drop-in mods very easy to create...but in order to neatly modify even...

Re: What about modding?

If you are familiar with ren'py, you can just add rpyc files to the "game" folder and they will be loaded and parsed by the engine executable automatically. The harder part is figuring out how best to hook into existing events without modifying the original scripts. There are some other options you ...

Re: How does Hanako's development cycle work?

If you are interested in Visual Novel development in particular, you will find a thriving development community (primarily focused around ren'py but other engines are discussed as well) on the lemmasoft forums You can also find other people who might be willing to work on your project with you. Most...

Re: Christmas Contest - All the Presence! (I mean, Presents!

I don't normally do fanfic, but it was fun to write and LLTQ makes for a pretty amusing basis because of all of the possibilities (even though not all of the characters get developed as much as I might like). Congrats to the winners!

Re: How to translate?

I may be able to help out with getting the original English script lines dumped into a file, but I imagine it would be pretty effortless for spiky or someone else with scripting/coding skills and access to the original game scripts to run a few regular expressions that would dump all the text of the...

Re: Christmas Contest - All the Presence! (I mean, Presents!

A silly submission, full of the horrors of nobility, politics, and being a 14-year-old girl! (Edited for length...first version was just a bit over the word count limit) I probably do not have to say this, but there are some spoilers in here that reference several events you may come across in the g...
